This is my first incarceration. I love to read books. My favorite genres are fantasy and horror. I love all types of music, but Rock and Rap are my favorites. So thank you for taking this time…     I have been on Arizona´s death row since 1991; I came down with my brother Robert who died of cancer in 2014. I am 48 years old, a Leo, born on July 28^th, 1970. 6´2´´ / 183 cm, 204 lbs / 92,51 kg. I have never been married and I have no children. I was only 20 when arrested on these charges. My case does not involve sex crimes or children / minors. I enjoy a variety of hobbies and past times; Reading, Writing, Poetry, Art, TV, Music, Movies, ETC. I am a humble human being. I am more than the flesh, an ordinary man seeking for a fruitful relationship with a woman who is also wanting to build a FRIENDSHIP starting with pen pal correspondence. I had been in incarceration for over 24 years surrounded by men day and night as I´m missing the great leadership of the voice of a woman. My mother was my hero, my mother raised me as a single mother alongside my two sisters. I am the youngest of her three kids. I miss the interaction with a woman, so I want to hear from a woman in how they view the world, and learn what they got to say.

I am from the Dominican Republic, I´m the ONLY Dominican (man or woman) to EVER end up in death row here in the United States of America and that speaks throughout our entire history since Christopher Columbus discovered our Island and my indigenous ancestor. I came to the United States of America as a teenager with a professional baseball contract to follow my passion, playing the game I loved and as a professional athlete I was blessed to play Baseball for many years. I started my professional Baseball career with the Cleveland Indians (now knowing as the Cleveland Guardians). I also played Baseball with The Oakland A`s, The Colorado Rockies, The Seattle Mariners and The Chicago Cubs. Because of my professional career I established myself in the U.S.A. To help provide a better life for my mother and my two sisters, and subsequently the whole family.

I was inspire as a kid to help my mother because when I was 11 years of age my mom and dad separate, so I became the man of the house, so seen her as a single mother, I witnessed how hard my mother work to make sure her kids NEVER go to bed hungry, so as a kid I always said “I am going to reward all of her hard work”, and I did that for my mother. So, If you are a woman who value FAMILY, are compassionate and have empathy for other and love God, I will welcome you into my life, a woman who can provide a fruitful and meaningful friendship, a genuine pen pal friendship, someone who is authentic, unafraid to help me in contacting people in the real world over the internet so I can have my voice heard.

I’ve been on Arizona’s Death Row since 2000. It does feel like much longer. Though keeping myself occupied and being such a positive person is definitely a huge help. I’d like a penfriend who is also a positive person. I keep a good outlook and am supportive to those around me. Here at the prison, my daily routine consist of going outside for rec, where I’m able to chat with guys from other pods, workout (which I always try and encourage others to do) and feeding the birds.

I also have a porter job that allows me to walk freely in my pod to clean, a couple hours, 5 times a week. I’m very energetic and somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to things, whether it’s cleaning or fixing stuff, I always do my best. I attend classes each week, which focus on social values. This is great because it gives my group the opportunity to speak with others face to face.

After being locked in a cell alone for so many years, it’s a nice reminder that we’re still human, even if the prison wants us to think otherwise. Thankfully, there are positive changes being made throughout the unit that all will benefit from. One which is, I’m able to sit at our pod table and play games with my upstairs neighbor. Though we’re cuffed to the table with only one hand free, it is alot of fun playing monopoly deal, UNO, dominos, sorry and connect four – all of which the prison supplies. It definitely gives us something to look forward to each week.

I’m a simple guy who just takes things one day at a time. I will be a terrific, and supportive friend to anyone who will take the time to write and get to know me.

I have many interests and I would really enjoy hearing about your daily life. We can discuss any topics. I have a lot of different passions, but at the moment I’ve been doing hobby crafts, such as making friendship bracelets by dyeing socks different colors, using colored paper. It’s a long process, but totally worth it. I enjoy drawing, and coloring, cartoons. Making handmade cards makes holidays extra special. I keep pretty busy.

I don’t have contact with my family (their choice) except my mom. Her and my step-dad come visit once a year, which is always wonderful. I keep intouch with my mom regularly, with phone calls and letters. I’m very grateful she’s in my life. She moved us kids out here to Arizona, from Virginia, when I was ten years old to escape my very abusive father. This was hard on me because I was still to young to understand the ramifications of what was happening. Once we arrived here in Arizona the family pretty much abandoned me. Going through all of it was extremely painful, especially alone.

With this said, it may be the reason I’m such a decent friend. To me, friendship is forever, which will become clear to you as ours grows. I suppose this is all for now, but I will be looking forward to receiving a letter from you. Until then, have a happy day.

Hello my name is Kenneth. I have recently been sentenced to death in Arizona. Though I have been fighting my case for 7 years. I am appealing the ruling but that will take a very long time.
I don’t have very much in the way of family. My parents are dead along with most of my extended relations. And those still living are mostly hopeless drug addicts. So they don’t really care about or anything else for that matter.
Which means that for all intents and purpose, I am alone. And have been for a very long time. I am tired of not having anyone to share my thoughts and feeling with. So it is my hope that there is someone out there that will open their heart enough to stand beside me while I walk through a dark place.
I am not a bad person. I simply found myself in a different situation that I didn’t know how to handle.
I don’t know that it matters but I am a man 6’2” not exactly sure what that is in centameters. I weigh 215lbs or 98 kilos.
I am white skined of Norse and Irish ansestory, My hair is reddish as a result. I was a welder/heavy equipment Mechanic. I enjoy reading SciFi/ Fantasy books, playing chess and vigirous exercise. I used to be a hunter and fisherman. I grew up in Alaska. I love the outdoors.

Hi, my name is Steve B., I’m 40 years old and I’m looking for a nice, intelligent woman, with a sense of humor to share in a meaningful friendship. My name is John. I was born July 19, 1988. Before I got arrested, I was working as a computer technician and I was going to school to get a degree in computers as well.
Although computers are my specialty, I love learning about absolutely anything and I love exchanging ideas with people. I´m also creative. I draw a lot now, but I used to be into photography and even had my own darkroom. In school, I got into making things out of tape. From roses and wallets to a dress and tuxedo.
